The Empress' New Clothes
About the time I was posting my riff on the the Petite Trianon, my 83-year old father was passing his evenings doing cut & paste old school. Although he chose a different royal as his base upon which to build his Empress Sarah - we hit the same historical period. Clearly, the nut does not fall far from the tree. Here is his handiwork and original captions.

You know, I scanned these in, and they come up very nicely on photo paper, it wont take much to make some cards with these images. My dad always was extremely talented with collages - especially politcally driven ones - he's got a book of these at his home - its what keeps him spry and nimble.
Maybe I'll take advantage of your excellent suggestion and make some cards to send to folks...
Awesome! I love collage and abhor she-whose-name-shall-not-be-spoken. Finally, a medium they can both occupy together. Kudos to your Poppa! Thanks so much for sharing this. I'd love to get one of these cards!
