Give Her Points for Being a Good Sport

Fey and Palin on SNL? Meh. It was okay, with everyone getting a little mocking on the other: on Palin, on Fey, on 30 Rock (one of my favorite guilty teevee pleasures.) Alec Baldwin was a nice surprise, being Mr. Supah Liberal and all.

But Amy Poehler doing the Palin rap? Completely funny.

And despite the fact that I in no way agree with her politics, and have lost some respect for her for the role she has played in the McCain campaign, she has to get some points for going on national teevee and playing along.

But at times, it looked like she was just barely tolerating it.

Nice blog! Why not a "bunny hugger"? Come by Alaskans Helping Animals and maybe we can change your mind!

I got the impression Palin was reveling in some of it, mouthing "Ayers" in the video, for example. That and the smug cheeks-in, chin out bump and grind she was doing while "puttin' her hands in the air."

I did think it was a hoot, though. And Amy Pohler was hard core in her rappin.

I agree that she gets some credit for doing it -- but it's lucky for her she still has a day job to fall back on once the election is over!

I dunno. I have a hard time giving her credit for what was free national air-time.

It's like when people like Rove go on the Daily Show - sure, they'll get made fun of, but they get great national coverage out of it. It's why they do it.

I'm not saying give her a bunch of points or anything - but she sat through a good bit of mocking. What quality of air time, I guess, is my question.

I'd like to believe that every public appearance she makes drives more voters away from the McPalin ticket.
